"We've moved past theory," says Jamie Garcia, Director of Strategic Growth & Quantum Partnerships at IBM. "Today, we're using the industry's best-available quantum computers for real use cases... While these aren't production-scale problems, they're signals where we expect value to increase as quantum continues maturing.
AMD and IBM are already exploring integrations of AMD CPUs, GPUs, and FPGAs with IBM quantum systems to accelerate emerging algorithms that neither paradigm can handle alone.

Agentic Parsing Transforms Document Processing
Brian Raymond, founder of Unstructured, envisions a future where document processing becomes a team of AI specialists. Instead of forcing a single system to interpret an entire file, synthetic parsing pipelines break documents into components—titles, paragraphs, tables, images—and route each to the best model.
"This allows us to reduce computational cost while improving fidelity because each element is interpreted by the model class that understands it best," Raymond explains.
AI Sovereignty and Security Take Center Stage
As AI capabilities expand, trust and security become non-negotiable. Enterprises are sharpening their focus on AI sovereignty—the ability to control and govern AI systems within their own infrastructure. Open-source reasoning models and agents continue to push boundaries while corporate users demand greater control over their data.
